History

The hospital was originally a nursing home in the 1970’s and was purchased and renovated as a rehabilitation hospital in 1981. Lawrence Hargrave Private Hospital was named after the Australian pioneer of aviation, Lawrence Hargrave. The hospital is now owned by Ramsay Health Care Limited who boasts a high quality portfolio of strategically located hospitals and an excellent record in hospital management and patient care, which combine to attract Australia’s leading medical, nursing and allied health practitioners.
